FREE DREAM JOURNAL AND DREAM INTERPRETATION · iOS AND ANDROID
Don’t let your dreams fade with sleep.
Record your dream by voice or text the moment you wake up. Hypnic writes you a short dream interpretation and picks out the people, places and symbols, so you are the first to notice when they show up again.
Free. No subscription. Recording dreams is unlimited.
How it worksWHY IT’S DIFFERENT
Interpreting a single dream is easy. The hard part is seeing what repeats over months.
- MemoryThe people, places, symbols and events in each dream are kept and counted.
- ContextA new interpretation also takes into account what has repeated in your earlier dreams.
- You’re in controlYour dreams are stored encrypted. Download or delete them whenever you like.
WHAT’S IN YOUR DREAMS
Who was there, where were you, what happened?
Hypnic separates the people, places, symbols and actions in each dream. It counts how many of your dreams each one appears in and takes you to those dreams with one tap.
- People, places, symbols and actions
- Plain counts like “in 7 dreams”
- Connected dreams, with dates
INTERPRETATION
Every interpretation takes your earlier dreams into account.
After you have recorded a few dreams, Hypnic also takes into account the people, places and symbols that keep returning when it writes a new interpretation. Sometimes it asks you a short question, and your answer shapes later interpretations.
Furkan Mersinli, who builds Hypnic, shaped the tone and limits of the interpretations with examples he chose. Each version is tested on sample dreams.
An interpretation is not a diagnosis. It does not assume a dream has one definitive meaning, and it does not predict the future.
BY THE NUMBERS
See what repeats, in numbers.
See on how many dream days in the last 90 days a person, place or feeling appeared, and which ones showed up together. Hypnic does not attach meaning to these numbers; it only shows them.
Example view. The dreams and numbers on the screens are fictional.

What is Hypnic?
Hypnic is a dream journal app for iOS and Android where you record dreams by voice or text. It writes a short interpretation for each dream, separates the people, places, symbols and events in it, and shows how often the same things appear in your other dreams.
Is Hypnic free?
Yes. Hypnic is free, with no subscription and no premium plan. Recording dreams is unlimited; free AI interpretations are 10 on your first day, then 3 a day, up to 30 a month. If you like, you can leave an optional tip under “Support Hypnic” in the app; it unlocks nothing. We plan to sustain it by making dreams from users who give permission available to research institutions later, once identifying details have been removed. You never have to give that permission, and the app works the same if you don’t.
Does Hypnic tell me what my dream definitely means?
No. An interpretation is not a diagnosis. It does not assume a dream has one definitive meaning and it does not predict the future. It shows what has repeated in your earlier dreams and writes the interpretation with that in mind.
Who writes the interpretation?
An AI model writes it. Furkan Mersinli, who builds Hypnic, set its tone and limits with examples he chose, and each version is tested on sample dreams. This needs your consent: if you agree, the dream text, and the audio if you speak it, is sent to OpenAI; the audio is not kept. Without consent, Hypnic only records your dreams: it cannot interpret them, draw conclusions from them or analyze what appears in them. Voice capture and the monthly summary are off too. The privacy page has the details.
Are my dreams safe?
Dream text is stored encrypted on servers in Europe, and a copy stays on your device. A voice recording is not kept after it has been turned into text. You can download all your data and delete a single dream or your account from the app.
Do my dreams go to research?
Only if you give a separate permission. The research permission is separate, off by default, and you can withdraw it any time. If you don’t give it, your dreams never enter research.
When does Hypnic launch, and on which phones?
